Key stage 1 focuses on the first two years of the child’s learning stages. The children are enrolled in these years in the 5 years of the age right when they come out of the kindergarten. The children stay in this stage from 5-7 years of age and complete the first two years of their education. The focus is on learning and basic math in these years with mild and conceptual science.
Key Stage 2:
The key stage 2 focuses on the third to the sixth year of the student’s school. The children in these years are between 7 to 11 years of age and the kids are mostly in the third to sixth standard. This is the transitionary phase of their education where they gain complex learning skills like advanced language, complex science concepts, and advanced maths. Algebra usually begins with the middle school that is the beginning of grade five. These years end with the beginning of teenage. The kids will be twelve when they walk into the next year.
Key Stage 3:
This is the first key stage that is mainly focused on the teenage years. The classes from 7 to 9 are the focus of this stage. This is the most formative time in a child’s life. Children learn to conduct complex functions in language, science, and math. Complex algebra, advanced essay writing, and biology, chemistry and physics are a few of the various advanced subjects that students take u in these years.
